MultiTable has recently added its first electrically controlled table to its range of adjustable height tables.
In this review we’re going to take a look at the new addition and who can benefit from using it.
Who is it for?
The product has an excellent range of adjustment making it usable by anyone up to 6 feet 6 inches tall, and needing the flexibility of alternating between standing and sitting to work.
As with its manual crank range it has a good overall weight capacity which should be more than adequate for most people’s needs.
It can be customized too, so let’s see what else it offers.
What sets it apart?
One of the welcome features of the Mod-E is the wide range of different tops it can be fitted with. Just as with its manual range the legs can be infinitely adjusted in width to accept any top size between 40 and 72 inches wide and 24 and 36 inches deep.
This means that where you want to tailor your top size to suit specific requirements you can purchase the frame only and add your own work surface to it.
Another notable feature is the motor speed. The top can travel its full length in only 9 seconds thanks to a motor speed of 2 inches per second. A lot of electric desks move at little over half this speed, so if you plan to change top height frequently this is a big help.
Product description and technical details
When specified as a complete table the top sizes come in the following measurements, with all being 3/4 inch thick:
- 24 inches by 40 inches
- 24 inches by 48 inches
- 29 inches by 57 inches
- 29 inches by 72 inches
All tops are finished in one of 4 colors: Black, Espresso, Honey Maple and White laminate.
For those opting to add their own top the frame can handle any top between these dimensions:
Minimum size: 24 inches wide by 40 inches deep
Maximum size: 36 inches wide by 72 inches deep
Unladen the moving weight capacity is 175 lbs, including standard top it’s 130 lbs.
All products include 2 years warranty on moving parts and 5 years warranty on steel components.
This latest addition to the ModTable range adds the useful benefit of push button control for top adjustment. It’s speedy too, when compared to a lot of its rivals, moving at 2 inches per second. Motor noise may be a slight concern as it’s quoted at 75db maximum which is high.
The flexibility of top size and scale of adjustment makes the Mod-E table range suitable for most user’s needs.
